Slow your body, take a breath, and your mind will follow....

Hannah, the Health Qigong instructor. Glasses, long blonde hair, and blue eyes.

Hello all! The sun is out and aren't we all the better for it?

It wont be long now, and we will be heading to the Darwin Nurseries orchard for our Qigong. This is a lovely private area away from the general public, where we can relax and enjoy a bit of nature as we flow through our practice. There will only be 2 sessions in April due to the bank holiday - April 5th and 12th, and as I'm headed away for a week in May we will be doing our Qigong on May 3rd, 10th, and 31st.

What is Qigong?

Qigong (tai chi qigong) is a beautiful moving meditation that stimulates, stretches and clears each of the organ's channels (meridians). It's one of the five branches of traditional Chinese medicine, and each move is over 3000 years old. This beautiful practice will leave your mind, body and spirit in a state of deep relaxation.

There's no experience at all required and it's 100% beginner friendly. All the moves are slow and easy to follow, and can be done sat down in a chair or standing up. I thoroughly believe that in any class setting, that the student should not simply follow along, but learn the 'why' behind each move - so every week you will learn one move in depth.

Currently, I'm teaching in both Cambridge and the Deeping area, my aim is to create a relaxed and fun environment that you can come along and escape to, that you will learn some vital tools to cope with the day to day stress of the modern world, and that, in slowing down with me, you learn to listen to your body and what it needs.

About me

I began practicing qigong (tai chi qigong) sat firmly in a wheelchair, very unwell. I was, for the most part, housebound. But within a month of practicing daily, I managed my first walk outside solo! Over the next year I regained my health and independence and began training as an instructor to spread the incredibly health benefits to all those around me.
